Windows Microsoft Store edition
The Windows edition is published by Jiu2027 and covered by the Windows privacy and data notice. Pairing keys and Sony tokens use Windows Credential Manager. Microsoft Store handles purchases, licensing, refunds and updates. The Apple-platform sections below continue to cover their respective editions.
Scope and contact
This policy covers the macOS, iOS and iPadOS App Store editions of PS Remoter, published by Jiu. Contact xiaojiuloveyou2005@163.com for privacy or data requests. PS Remoter is an independent client and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Sony or PlayStation.
Console streaming and local data
The app discovers consoles on your LAN and exchanges pairing, wake, connection and control information with your selected console. Video and audio arrive from the console; controller, touch, available motion input and explicitly enabled microphone audio go to it. The app does not record gameplay audio/video or upload it to the publisher. Console names, addresses, settings, mappings and player aliases/Account IDs you choose to remember are stored in the local app data directory. Pairing keys and Sony authorization tokens are kept in the local Keychain without app-enabled iCloud synchronization on Mac; optional iOS / iPadOS sync is described below.
Optional iPhone / iPad console sync
Console sync is off by default. When explicitly enabled, console details, pairing keys and per-console connection presets are shared through iCloud Keychain with devices using the same Apple account and meeting Keychain sync requirements. PSN tokens, PINs, game records, PSN presets and local preferences are excluded. The sync page has separate actions to stop syncing on this device or remove shared copies. Offline devices may retain local copies until they sync or you remove them.
iPhone / iPad motion, audio and diagnostics
Phone motion and compatible headphone motion are used only for enabled, supported input or audio features, not advertising tracking. The microphone is muted by default. After explicit activation and permission it sends audio to the current console; app inactivity and stream termination stop or mute capture. Game audio uses the system audio route. Diagnostics for the current / most recent connection remain in memory for the current app run. You can view and explicitly export them from Settings or an error prompt. The app does not automatically send diagnostics to the developer; exported copies are handled by the destination you choose.
iPhone / iPad purchases and deletion
iPhone and iPad share a separate StoreKit non-consumable Pro product; the Mac product is purchased separately. Apple handles payment information. Remove consoles, sign out of PSN streaming and game-library authorization separately, and manage synced copies in the app. Uninstalling does not guarantee removal of Keychain items; use the app’s remove, sign-out and sync controls first.
Sony authorization, library and internet play
PSN or game-library authorization opens Sony’s browser login. You enter the password on Sony’s page; the app does not receive it. The app exchanges authorization codes, tokens, account/device identifiers and connection information with Sony to retrieve consoles or games and establish your chosen session. Game Library uses a separate grant and keeps lists and cover thumbnails in memory. Confirmed launches send the target console and title IDs to Sony; signing out cannot recall a command already accepted. Sony and image services receive network/request information under Sony’s privacy policy.
Network addressing and NAT traversal
Internet connections may download STUN server lists from GitHub and contact listed servers or Moonlight/Google fallback services to discover your public IP address and port. GitHub and STUN operators receive network/request information. STUN requests contain neither PSN tokens nor gameplay. Logging and retention may differ between providers. Ordinary LAN streaming does not use this internet-connection flow.
Apple purchases and system services
Apple StoreKit handles Pro purchases, restoration and entitlement verification. The app reads verified purchase status. Apple handles payment information; the app receives no card details and does not upload receipts to a publisher server. Apple provides OS permissions and App Store updates. For this initial release, the publisher does not use Apple-provided crash or performance reports. Apple’s own system data processing is governed by Apple’s privacy policy and your system settings.
Microphone, diagnostics and support
The microphone is off by default. Capture starts only when you enable it and grant permission, and stops when you disable it or disconnect. The app does not automatically upload analytics or diagnostics. You choose where to save and whether to share an exported diagnostic file. Support uses the email address and message you provide to address your request. Do not send passwords, pairing keys or tokens. You may ask for deletion of personal information in support correspondence, subject to any legally required retention.
Optional Mac Steam shortcut
Only after you choose Add to Steam and select a folder does the app read/update the local shortcut file and retain a backup. The shortcut includes its name, app paths and a local console record ID, not console addresses, pairing keys or PSN tokens. Steam controls its subsequent handling of its library. This feature is Mac-only; iOS / iPadOS offers Shortcuts and app URL entry points.
Your controls and deletion
Remove a console in the app to delete its saved record and pairing Keychain item. Sign out of PSN streaming and Game Library separately to remove their grants. Remove remembered player accounts in Settings. Delete exported files and Steam backups in Finder. Uninstalling may leave Keychain items, so use the app’s removal/sign-out controls first. These actions do not delete Sony/Apple accounts or their service records; direct third-party data requests to the relevant service.
Third parties and changes
The app has no advertising tracking or developer-hosted game/account service. Optional Sony, Apple, GitHub and NAT services process data under their own practices. The website host may also process IP addresses and request logs to serve this site. These pages contain no analytics scripts, ads, remote fonts or non-essential cookies. This page will be updated when features or data practices change.
